Council okays backhoe purchase
Wellington North council approved the purchase of a new backhoe at its Aug. 11 meeting.
Township treasurer Paul Dowber, in a report to council, recommended the $100,239 purchase from Nortrax, the lowest of two tenders received recently.
The treasurer said he hopes the backhoe will be received in the near future after it was learned the current backhoe has been leaking oil.
