Council approves land severance for proposed Palmerston duplex
MINTO – Council here received a consent application for the purpose of constructing a duplex in Palmerston.
The report was presented by town planning coordinator Sama Haghighi on Jan. 20.
The retained parcel, approximately 0.079 hectares in size with 13.2 metres of frontage on Jane Street, currently contains a detached dwelling unit and garage.
The property is zoned medium-density residential and is located at 300 Boulton St.
The report was circulated to the town’s public works department, which noted:
– the applicant must obtain a municipal servicing permit;
– the existing driveway must be relocated to the retained property frontage; and
– the applicant must complete the required right-of-way works for both the retained and severed parcels under a single servicing permit.
Council approved the consent application, which will be reviewed by the county’s land division committee.
