Council approves gas tax agreement
Guelph-Eramosa council has signed an agreement with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) on upcoming federal gas tax funding.
AMO is charged with administering gas tax payments handed down annually by the federal government.
It’s estimated the township will receive $358,468 next year (similar to what it received in 2014), $376,391 in 2016 and 2017 and $394,314 in 2018.
Council anticipates the township will receive a total of $1,864,033 over the next five years.
The agreement was approved.
