Correction

In last week’s article about the Aikensville gravel pit, a statement made at county council was incorrectly attributed to county councillor Brad Whitcombe.
That statement was, “ ‘It’s interesting stuff ... but we have made  political de­cision’ about allowing a pit in an area that has houses sur­rounding it.”
That statement was actually made by councillor Bob Wil­son. The Advertiser apolo­gizes for that error.
