Copper, trucks stolen

Wellington County OPP is currently investigating a break and enter and theft incident that occurred at an industrial park near Brock Road and Highway 401 in Puslinch Twp.  Three semi-tractor trailer units loaded with copper were stolen.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 11:30pm on Oct. 26, and 12:30am on Oct. 27, unknown suspects entered a locked compound where a number of loaded semi-tractor trailer units were parked.  Locks were cut off a number of trailers before locating three trailers loaded with thousands of pounds of unrefined copper anode.

All three semi-tractor trailer units are white with Wayfreight written in blue and are described as:

– 2004 Freightliner Tractor  bearing Ontario licence plate 4764PL;

– 2013 Kenworth Tractor bearing Ontario licence plate 9300PL;

– 2005 Freightliner Tractor bearing Ontario licence plate  4003PA;

– 2003 Great Dane Trailer bearing Ontario licence plate J8608A;

– 2005 Wabash Trailer bearing Ontario licence plate K3071L.

The 2004 Freightliner tractor and 2003 Great Dane trailer were recovered in Oakville by Halton Regional Police along with a partial load of copper on Oct. 30.  The two other remaining tractor trailers are still outstanding.
