Construction activity dips in 2013
Building activity here dipped in 2013 compared to the previous year, despite an increase in the number of permits issued.
Chief building official Michael Newark presented his 2013 year-end report to council at its meeting on Feb. 3.
Construction value last year was $17,628,800 based on 225 permits issued compared to 2012 totals of $18,678,000 and 215 permits issued. Construction values in 2011 were $13,063,000 based on 186 permits.
The township collected $217,753 in building fees in 2013.
