The race to represent the Conservative Party of Canada in Perth-Wellington during the 42nd general election will be decided at a nomination meeting on Nov. 8 at Listowel District Secondary School in Listowel. Registration starts at 12pm.
To vote at the meeting a Conservative Party membership purchased by Oct. 16, and and residency in the riding is required.
The nomination process opened on Sept. 25.
There are two accepted contestants – John Nater of Mitchell and Ken Steven of Stratford.
Incumbent Conservative MP Gary Schellenberger announced on Sept. 25 that he will not run in the next general election, tenatively scheduled for Oct. 19, 2015.
