Conn 4-H Triple Trio Potato Club and Spice Club

The Conn Triple Trio 4-H Potato Club held their first and second meetings at the home of Catherine Gorman.

First meeting was the election of officers and planting of potatoes. We planted three varieties: Red Chieftain, Banana and Yukon Gold in a hill, a trench, a tire and a black, plastic garbage bag. We made croquettes as a snack to eat.

Second meeting we checked on our potatoes and most of them had sprouted. We learned about the history of potatoes, did a crossword puzzle and made potato pancakes. Next meeting is June 18.

The Conn Triple Trio 4-H Spice Club held their first meeting at the home of Catherine Gorman.  First meeting included the election of officers and identifying of 18 different bagged spices. Members enjoyed Lemon Rosemary Cupcakes for snack.

The second meeting was held at Wild Things Plant Farms where the group planted herb planters. The group thanks Nina for her hospitality and enjoyed sharing chocolate basil cupcakes with her.

The third meeting was at the home of Catherine Gorman. Members made garlic insect plant repellent, strawberry salad dressing, an oil and vinegar vinaigrette and guacamole snack. Next meeting is June 28.
