This Friday evening, Riverfest: The Prequel will feature live music performances here.

The show will feature Elora’s well known band The Potion Kings, featuring Howie Southwood, Randall Coryell, and Kevin Breit, who is home from his European tour with actor/singer Hugh Laurie.

Joining them is The Boo Radley Project, an alterna-funk band made up of young musicians from Elora and Guelph.

The concert takes place at the new greenspace located at the corner of Mill and Metcalfe Streets, and is part of the celebration for the new community space.

The concert is in anticipation of the upcoming Riverfest concert, set for Aug. 25, with headliners Cuff the Duke.

The Aug. 10 show begins at 4:30pm to 6pm and is free for all ages.

Tickets for Riverfest 2012 are on sale now. For more information visit http://www.riverfestelora.com.
