Community report recognizes OLG contributions
If you saw a wrapper around the Wellington Advertiser recently, it was Centre Wellington’s report to the community on how the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has made a positive impact on the local community.
On June 23, Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj stated she hoped councillors and residents took time to read the publication.
She said it reports what council has been doing the last four years and its work with the OLG.
“It was an opportunity to thank the OLG for its contribution to many of our community projects.”
She said the OLG has helped finance over 60 projects in Centre Wellington.
“It was our chance to say thank you to them.”
She also added thanks to the staff at the Grand River Raceway for the way visitors are welcomed to the community.
“It’s just phenomenal.”
