Community members raise $1,000 with Pedal for Palestine

Wellington County residents organized a Pedal for Palestine on Sept. 27 and raised $1,000 for the People’s Conference for Palestinian Solidarity that took place in downtown Guelph on Oct. 3. Palestinian community members mingling before the bike ride shared stories of their parents’ history and forced displacement in 1948, and their parents’ shared understanding that they’d be returning home within weeks. They were never able to return. TOP LEFT: Fergus family physician Dr. Graham Cummins volunteered to help people repair their bikes before the Pedal for Palestine on Sept. 27.
