Club hosting essay competition
The Optimist Club of Centre Wellington - Fergus is encouraging area students to enter an essay competition with the theme “How Dreams Lead To Success.”
The contest is open to students under 19 years of age and who have not yet graduated high school. Application forms are available at the office.
Contest deadline is Feb. 1 at 6pm. Those interested can submit 700 to 800 word essays with an attached application to the Optimist Club of Centre Wellington, 322 Argyll St., Fergus, N1M 2Y3.
Local level prizes are awarded, as is a $2,500 college scholarship and plaque.
