Clifford man killed in crash near Harriston
HOWICK – Emergency personnel are currently on scene of a two-vehicle crash west of Harriston that has resulted in a fatality.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m. this morning (Aug. 19), Huron County OPP, Wellington County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and the Howick Fire Department responded to the crash on Harriston Road (Huron County #87) near Howick-Minto Townline.
Police said in a press release that two pick-up trucks collided head-on.
One driver was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one driver died at the scene.
Police identified the deceased as Brandon Cox, 24, from Clifford.
Investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are on scene assisting with the investigation.
Harriston Road (Huron County #87) is currently closed between Malcolm Line and School Road #7. Motorists are asked to take an alternate route to avoid the collision scene.
