Remembrance service - Royal Canadian Legion Branch 296 members gathered for a Service of Remembrance on Nov. 8 at the cenotaph in Clifford. From left: Troy Gilbert, William Neil, Ron Faulkner, Ken Reuber, Allen Colwell, Terry Fisk, Branch 296 president Hugh Clunas, Anne South, Judy Tuck, trumpeter Judy Dirksen, Janice Shannon-Tuck and Sharon McKnight. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there was no parade to the cenotaph, no individual laying of wreaths and no spectators lining the streets, but the Act of Remembrance was observed and the wreaths set in front of the cenotaph serve as a reminder of the men and women who served and sacrificed for their community and country.
