Classically Yours running on Nov. 9 at River Run Centre
The local symphony orchestra here will perform Classically Yours at 3pm on Nov. 9, at River Run Centre, the Orchestra’s home venue.
The concert opens with Grieg’s Holberg Suite, written as his tribute to the classical era, and Dvorak’s Serenade in D Minor. Cristi Cigolea, the GSO’s Romanian-born principal trumpet, plays Albinoni’s Concerto No 9 for Oboe, transcribed for piccolo trumpet, and the show closes with Mozart’s Symphony, No 29 in A.
