Classic trucks roll into Clifford

This village will once again be transformed into a showcase of classic big rigs on the Canada Day long weekend. The Rotary Pavilion Park at Allan Street East will be the scene of the Great Lakes Truck Club 7th annual classic and antique truck show.

Organizers welcome drivers with trucks at least 20 years or older. Freightliner Trucks are being featured at this year’s show. The cab-over cruise-in remains a popular feature of the show.

“If you are a driver, retired from trucking, or a truck enthusiast, this is a great show for you to be able to re-live the golden years of trucking,” organizers state.

Last year, the executive donated $3,000 from the proceeds of the truck show to the Clifford Rotary Club to help with the maintenance of the park and with club projects.

Registration begins at 4pm on June 30 and runs until noon on July 2. The show opens Friday, July 1 along with the Rotary food booth, beer gardens, and live country music by The Crippled Ducks.

Saturday features the Rotary farmer’s breakfast and the truck club pork chop dinner. On Sunday, the farmer’s breakfast is sponsored by Cervus Peterbilt for all the truck owners at the show. Camping is available.
