Church committee offering horse event
A committee at the Bethel Baptist Church here is offering a free event on June 25 for youths, adults and horse lovers.
Broke But Not Broken: Life Lessons from the Saddle will feature a demonstration from local horse trainer John Martin and his talented horse, King.
Martin will illustrate how his relationship with his horse is comparable to human relationships with others and with God.
There will also be a sheep rodeo, volleyball and a chance to meet the horses or just relax by a campfire. There will also be a concession stand offering burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks, with all proceeds going towards a youth mission trip.
Everyone is welcome at the event, which can be visited on Facebook by typing in Broke but not Broken: Life Lessons from the Saddle.
