Church choirs explore past
The Cantata Choir of Know-Elora and St. Andrew’s Alma Presbyterian Churches have been hard at work preparing this year’s musical, The Gifts of Christmas Revisited.
The musical is a reflection back over past musicals the groups have done and the singers are “revisiting” many of their favourite songs celebrating the birth of Jesus. The musical has been prepared by Kees Vandermey, minister of the two churches. Everyone is invited to attend the evening of song and narration, and acting.
The Gifts of Christmas Revisited will be presented twice: on Dec. 7 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Alma, and Dec. 14 at Knox-Elora Presbyterian Church. Both evening shows begin at 7:30pm, and will include a freewill offering and a fellowship hour.
The musical is under the direction of Vesna Ljujic and Darlene Vandermey, the music and choir directors of Knox-Elora.
