There will be a Christmas book sale celebrating the Elora Festival’s new book depot in Fergus.
The Elora Festival book volunteers are busy sorting and pricing thousands of books for their annual book sale on May 2, 3, and 4, 2014.
Every year, people flock to the Elora Curling Club to stock up on gently-read items of all types: adult and children’s books, DVDs, records, and games.
All 60,000 books are well-organized and individually priced according to condition. There are classics, fiction and non-fiction, humour, art, crafts, history, spirituality, cooking, biographies, music and much more. This year, to celebrate the opening of the brand new book depot in Fergus, there is a special Christmas Sale, selling gently-read, good-condition paperbacks, hard cover fiction and books on a Christmas theme, priced $2 or less (cash only).
The Christmas sale is at the new book depot, 380 St. Andrew Street West (side entrance), on Dec. 13 from 5 to 10pm and Dec. 14 from 10am to 3pm.
Admission and parking are free.
Donations are gratefully accepted, and can be dropped off at the book depot in Fergus at any time.
Items can be left in the shed outside the entrance (no encyclopedias, VHS, library discards or magazines, except quilting).
