Chris Bults Memorial Tournament set for Aug. 28, 29
MOOREFIELD – The fifth annual Chris Bults Memorial Tournament is set for Aug. 28 and 29.
Held at the Moorefield ball diamonds, the event will include food from the Firehouse Fries Food Trailer by the Morrefield Firefighters Association.
The Taylor Moore Band will also be playing on Aug. 28 from 7 to 11pm.
Chris Bults, who passed away in January 2020 at the age of 55, “was a fighter and that truly showed throughout her cancer journey,” officials stated, adding she was diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2019.
“Chris received outstanding care at local hospitals, and then needed specialized care at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for brachytherapy. We are forever grateful for the excellent medical care Chris received.”
All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to brachytherapy at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
“We are so thrilled to be hosting the tournament for the fifth year, as this is such a huge milestone for our charity,” officials stated.
