Choir exchange visit will benefit Hospice

In March, Guelph Youth Singers will welcome choristers from Truro, Nova Scotia for a six-day choir exchange.

The highlight of the visit will be a benefit concert called In Harmony for Hospice in support of Hospice Wellington’s children and youth programs, to be held on March 7 at 7pm at New Life Church. Also performing will be Hospice’s own Joybringers.  The program will include classical music, folk arrangements, and African music with movement.

Guelph Youth Singers has won awards at the local, provincial and national levels of the Guelph Kiwanis Festival and the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals.

The two choirs have been twinned under a youth exchange program. In April, Guelph Youth Singers will visit Truro.

Tickets for In Harmony for Hospice are $15, or $40 per family of up to four members. They are available at the Guelph Youth Singers office (519-821-8574), Hospice Wellington (519-836-3921) and New Life Church (519-823-5851).
