Chocolate fundraiser supports local families

Beginnings Family Services Guelph is hosting a “Chocolate Extravaganza” fundraising event on Nov. 20  from 7 to 9pm, at Crestwicke Baptist Church, located on 400 Speedvale Ave. East, Guelph.

The event is to raise money to fund the free services that Beginnings offers to those in the community who need pregnancy and parenting support.

Beginnings is a non-profit, faith-based agency that provides a full range of services including counseling, pregnancy testing, a care cupboard stocked with baby supplies and community referrals to clients of all ethnic backgrounds, religious affiliations and walks of life.

The “Chocolate Extravaganza” includes  music and theatrical entertainment inspired by the theme of chocolate, Christmas shopping from local vendors, a silent auction, client stories and plenty of chocolate treats.

Admission is free, but there is a free will offering at the event, with a suggested donation of $25 per person.
