Children’s Foundation launches Kids to Camp

GUELPH – For many families in Guelph and Wellington County, the cost of sending children to summer camp is simply out of reach.

That’s why the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington (CFGW) is launching the 2025 Kids to Camp campaign, helping send local kids to camp so they can experience all the magic and adventure summer has to offer, officials state.

The 2025 campaign gets an extra boost thanks to Skyline, CFGW’s presenting sponsor, which is matching all donations made between April 7 and 25, up to $25,000.

“At Skyline, we recognize the challenges many families face and strongly believe in our responsibility to actively support the communities we serve,” said Skyline co-founder and chief sustainability officer R. Jason Ashdown.

“Through partnerships with dedicated organizations like the Children’s Foundation, we amplify our collective impact, ensuring more children have access to valuable experiences like summer camp.”

Last year, the Children’s Foundation helped over 350 children attend summer camp, and anticipate an increased volume this year.

“As of April 1, the Foundation has said ‘yes!’ to over 100 kids to attend camp this coming summer, with new applications being received daily,” officials state.

Donations make a direct impact, with every $200 raised helping send a child to camp for a week.

Every dollar donated to the Kids to Camp campaign directly funds camp opportunities for local children, making a tangible difference in their lives.
