Checkley, Walter, B.; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Friday, October 23, 2009 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Lorene Checkley (1998). Dear father of Bob Checkley of West Garafraxa Township and Lynda Richardson of Belwood. Loving grandpa of Robert and Naomi Richardson, Chris and Tanja Checkley, Cindy Checkley and Dustin Checkley. Much cherished old Gramps of Anabelle and Helaina. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Peggy Checkley, son-in-law Willis Richardson, eight sisters and one brother. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11am. Interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur followed. Remembrances to Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation - CT Scan or the C.N. I.B. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
