A different dispatch centre is not the issue when it comes to increased medical assist calls, according to Wellington North councillor Ross Chaulk.
After comments at the last council session that increased calls seemed to result from the switch of the dispatch centre to Guelph, Chaulk said said he was “tuned in” by the Mount Forest Fire Chief.
He said he was told the reason for the additional calls “is because there are not enough ambulances - not because the dispatch is out of Guelph.”
