Charges laid in fatal collision
ERIN - The County of Wellington OPP have laid charges in relation to a fatal motor vehicle collision that involved a boom lift and a passenger vehicle on Trafalgar Road at Sideroad 10 on Sept. 24 in the Town of Erin. The driver of the passenger vehicle, Lloyd Cockburn, 59, of Georgetown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the boom did not require medical care. Marc Joseph Bibeau, 50, of Brampton has been charged with Causing Death by Criminal Negligence and Dangerous Operation Causing Death contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on Nov. 24.
