Change of venue for Centre Wellington
It’s a change of venue for the next few months in Centre Wellington, with councillors meeting at Wellington Place here.
The move was required to accommodate the ongoing renovations to the municipal building at Macdonald Square in Elora.
The current stage of work includes replacement of the elevator and the adjacent council chambers.
On May 12, Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj said, “We’ll be here until our accessibility issues are addressed.”
She added it was lucky the space was available at Wellington Place because ongoing work in the municipal building is quite noisy with the sounds of jackhammers and other equipment.
