ELORA – The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is planning to host a lunch event to kick off a week of celebrations for its Awards of Excellence Gala and to honour Long Service Award recipients.
This year, the chamber will “celebrate businesses in Centre Wellington who celebrated five, 10, 25 or 40 years in business as of 2024, plus businesses who were brand new in 2024,” states an April 22 chamber invitation to the event.
This lunch event takes place on May 21 from 12 to 2pm at The Elora Mill (77 West Mill St.) “and all are welcome to attend,” chamber officials say.
“This provides our community members who perhaps aren’t attending the gala with an opportunity to celebrate our local business community.”
The event includes a raffle plus brief speeches from a few honorees about their business journey. Officials say the core elements of the event will be photographed and recorded, to be shared as part of the Awards of Excellence Gala on May 28.
