Chair and vice-chair chosen for Catholic School Board

The Board of Trustees of the Wellington Catholic District School Board has selected Marino Gazzola as chair of the Board for the coming year. Also elected at the inaugural meeting of the board is the vice-chair of the board, Steve Redmond.

These individuals have been selected by their peers to lead this school district in its four areas of strategic growth – Catholicity, student achievement, site Improvement and quality service.

The board has six elected trustees each of whom was elected to office in October of 2010 for a four-year term. At the end of each year of this mandate the trustees select a chair and vice-chair who accept this leadership position. The board has three student trustees, each representing one of its high schools. They serve for a one-year term and contribute the student perspective on many decisions throughout the year.
