Centre Wellington Tier 3 water study to begin in September

In his July 25 report to council Centre Wellington Mayor Kelly Linton said the Grand River Conservation Authority has sent out invitations for proposals to undertake a Fergus-Elora Tier 3 local water budget and risk assessment.

Linton stated the GRCA is looking for at least three firms to bid  – “the quantity and quality of water is a huge issue” – with a consultant to be recommended on Aug. 26 and work to begin in September.

He added funding has been allocated for the project and the GRCA will be taking the lead, along with the consultant.

Linton said he will share information as it is available.
