Fire safety – Members of Centre Wellington Fire Rescue invited Sparky and the public to attend their Fire Prevention Week event on Oct. 14 at Dixon’s Home Hardware in Fergus. Firefighters were on hand to talk about fire safety products, offer advice and answer questions regarding fire safety and this year’s Fire Prevention Week theme “Plan a record-breaking escape.” For 100 years, Fire Prevention Week has helped fire departments across Canada to further promote messages of fire safety to the communities they serve.
