Centre Wellington Fire Rescue adds new tanker to the fleet
New tanker - Centre Wellington Fire Rescue (CWFR) had its new tanker delivered last week from the manufacturer in Quebec. The modern truck holds 2,500 gallons of water and pumps 550 gallons per minute. The tanker helps CWFR maintain its Superior Tanker Shuttle Service Accreditation, supporting Centre Wellington’s rural population by offering public fire protection for residences that are more than 300m from a fire hydrant. Deputy fire chief Jonathan Karn, left, and Fire Chief Brad Patton are pleased with the new addition to the department’s fleet.
