Celebration Trees planted again this fall

CENTRE WELLINGTON - Five Centre Wellington Parks are now graced by 12 new Celebration Trees that were planted recently.

On Sept. 29, receptions for donors and honourees were held in local parks.

Families and friends of each newly-planted tree were invited to share a few words about the occasion and decorate and install a Neighbourwoods Tree Guard to help protect their tree from mowers.

The photo shows family and friends who gathered at Bissell Park in Elora to honour Benno Dubler.

Home-made cookies were served, stories shared and appreciation expressed for the opportunity to recognize loved ones with a lasting gift to the community.

Celebration Trees is a partnership between Neighbourwoods and Centre Wellington Parks and Recreation.
