Celebrate this year’s ‘Tree of the Year’ on Sept. 21
FERGUS – This year’s Tree of the Year is a magnificent Northern Red Oak tree growing at 390 Provost Lane in Fergus at the home of Donna and Peter Wilson.
Officials are asking the public to join them for the 2024 Tree Celebration on Sept. 21 from 10 to 10:45am.
Guests will be invited to write a short love letter to trees (and maybe win a prize), hear facts about this elder Oak from Arborist Phil Guenter and cheer for this – and all trees.
Parking is available on Hill Street and on St. George across from the curling club.
