Celebrate Sunrise this weekend
Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre will be hosting their June fundraising event Celebrate Sunrise! on Sunday, June 22 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Sunrise farm.
Children who participate in the therapeutic riding programs will give a riding lesson demonstration, and perform a musical ride at 3 p.m.
Mayor Hazel McCallion, from Mississauga who owns a farm in Puslinch and is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Guelph South, will be presenting an appreciation plaque to Robert Sicard, President and CEO of UPI Energy LP, and will be unveiling a sponsorship sign on the new riding arena extension funded by his company.
UPI Energy LP also sponsors ‘Toby’, a therapeutic riding horse, who will be with Mayor Hazel McCallion and Robert Sicard for photo opportunities at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Mayor Doug Craig of the City of Cambridge will also be attending on Sunday. This event is sponsored by Friends of Sunrise Ltd. (FOSL) and Magic 106.1 and 1460 CJOY.
Robert Milburn of Milburn’s Auto Sales & Service is the auctioneer for the live auction, to raise much needed funds for this great therapy program.
