Celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year at Fergus Market
It’s the Chinese Lunar New Year or ‘Spring’ Festival.
It started Feb. 19 and runs for 15 days, culminating on Mar. 5 with the Lantern Festival. The Chinese New Year is also called the Spring Festival as in China the first lunar moon marks the start of the planting season.
This weekend the Elora Market will have authentic Asian food to sample and buy. There are fun crafts for kids too. Join them for the Year of the Green Sheep (or Goat or Ram ... depending on your interpretation.)
