Ceilidh set for local Legion on Nov. 14

A Ceilidh is a Gaelic social event originating in the British Isles.

It is happening here at the Elora Legion on Nov. 14.

The Whirly Gigs, Eva McCauley, Robin Aggus and others, will perform on fiddle, traditional pipes and more.

Kari Kokko is the caller of the dance. Tir Na Nog, extra­ordinary interpreters of the fine art of Irish dance, under Director Niamh Webster, will also perform.

There will be an art auction,    and local artists will contribute to the Ceilidh’s silent auction.

The event takes place at 7pm at the Elora Legion.

It will assist The Elora Arts Council with its many community projects.

There will be free snacks and a cash bar.

Tickets are $10 and children under 12 are free. Tickets are available at at Reflections Book Store, Fergus, or call 519-846-5712.
