Cash and Carry raises $4,200 for Arthur veterans’ crosswalk
ARTHUR – The Arthur Cash and Carry raised $4,200 for the Arthur Legion to help fund the installation of a commemorative crosswalk.
The money was raised through sale of painted wooden poppies, of which 100% of proceeds were donated directly to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 226.
The crosswalk is set to be installed at the Frederick Street West and George Street/Smith Street intersection.
“To everyone who purchased a wooden flower and supported this fundraiser, thank you,” Arthur Cash and Carry states on its Facebook page.
“We couldn’t have done it without you.”
