CARTER, John Lewis (June 27, 1922 – April 25, 2018) Surrounded by love it is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. John Lewis Carter on April 25, 2018 at Wellington Terrace. John enjoyed a full and healthy 95 years and will be dearly missed by his large community of friends and family both near and far. Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Audrey and George Koistinen and his baby brother James, John will be sorely missed by his “adopted girls” Debbie and Heidi, his nieces and nephews Julie (John), Carter-Ann (Peter), Bonnie (Steve), Phil (Robin) and Allen (Kathy); his grand nieces and nephews Patty, Katie, Tim, Jamie, Kristen, Bryson, Brooke, Carter, Geordie, Scott and Adam; and a cascade of great-grand nieces and nephews spanning three generations. Visitation will be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. West, Fergus on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00am. All are welcome.
