CARSON, Hugh Stanley; Hugh passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Guelph General Hospital on March 16, 2015 at the age of 73. Hugh loved three things: family, animals, and cars. If he wasn’t road-tripping  somewhere, he was walking one of his beloved dogs, or taking one of his grandchildren on a spontaneous trip, all of which frequently ended with a sugary treat. Hugh never met a candy bar or a glass of wine he didn’t like. He was, simply put: a great man. Fifty-two years of marriage to his soul mate, three daughters, and six grandchildren later, he has left behind memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His family feels they were fortunate to have shared in his journey; he is missed, but will never be forgotten. Hugh Carson is survived by his wife, Jean Carson, of Fergus, daughters Jeannine, Treena, and Danielle, as well as grandchildren, Hailley, Callahan, Myah, Clayton, McKenna, and Carson. He leaves behind his older sister, Donna Mueller and younger brother, William Carson. As per Hugh’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 3rd, 7:00pm at The Breadalbane Inn, Fergus.
