Car seat clinics a success

On June 13 and 14 a pilot car seat awareness campaign was launched in Drayton and Rockwood by the Wellington County OPP.

In the six hour campaign, 51 car seats were corrected; and one provincial offence notice was issued for a car seat violation because a child was not in a car seat. The most common error noted was the caregiver had the child’ five- point harness too loose, which is extremely dangerous for the child.

The Wellington County OPP would like to thank the partners for the event, including the Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, Mapleton Township Fire Rescue (Drayton station) and Guelph Co-Operators Insurance.
