Canadians in cars with cannabis

GUELPH – On Nov. 16 at about 9:40pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 6 at Laird Road West here.
Police say officers spoke to the female driver of a white passenger van and allegedly observed a container of suspected dried marijuana in plain view and within reach of the driver.
Lindsay Trites, 31, of Puslinch, was charged with driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
HARRISTON – On Nov. 17 at about 10:30pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Elora Street at Union Street here.
Police say officers spoke to the male driver of a grey vehicle, allegedly detected the odour of marijuana and subsequently seized an open jar of suspected dried marijuana that was in plain view and within reach of the driver.
Nicholas Gorel, 29, of South Bruce, was charged with driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
