Canada Day Celebrations in Erin: barbecue, live music, movie screening and fireworks
ERIN – The Royal Canadian Legion will be hosting a patio barbecue from 2 to 5pm at 12 Dundas St. East, with live music from The Breakfast Club – a 1980’s tribute band.
Outdoor cinema
The town will be screening the 1993 live action film Super Mario Bros. on the lawn of the Erin Centre 2000.
Participants are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
Refreshments, concessions, face painting and music will be a part of the celebration from 6 to 8pm.
Poultry and pyrotechnics
The Orton Community Association will hosting its annual chicken dinner and fireworks display, at the Orton Community Park on East Garafraxa Erin Townline.
The show will go on at dusk, rain or shine and spaces are limited, so book now for 5 or 6pm by calling 519-855-4243 or by visiting their website at orton-community.com.
Half chicken or double dark quarter chicken dinners are $20.
