Call before you dig in Centre Wellington
Centre Wellington has registered with Ontario One Call to administer all municipal infrastructure locate requests as of June 19.
With the township managing over 300 kilometers of watermain and sewers combined, officials state it is it is important that locates are requested to prevent damage to municipal infrastructure.
Under Ontario regulations it is law to locate all utility lines first when planning to dig, build or excavate.
Property owners are advised to request locates at least one week before planning to dig to be sure information is available when needed. To have municipal infrastructure located contact Ontario One Call at 1-800-400-2255 to register a locate request.
