Bylaw enforcement officer moves on
Bylaw enforcement officer Clive Ascher has resigned.
Town Manager Lisa Hass last week made the announcement of his resignation, which was effective June 30.
She said the town will look into hiring a replacement for two days a week instead of three, and also the possibility of sharing a bylaw officer with a neighbouring municipality.
Mayor Rod Finnie said Ascher did a good job for the town over the last eight years, and joked he himself wouldn’t have lasted eight minutes in the position.
“It’s a thankless job,” Finnie said.
