Businesses shape future of tourism with Meet Me in Minto
MINTO – The Town of Minto is inviting local businesses, attractions, community organizations and entrepreneurs to become part of Meet Me in Minto, a new initiative designed to increase visitation, strengthen local businesses, and showcase Minto as a destination worth the drive.
The program will provide participating businesses with access to professional training, one-on-one coaching, marketing support, digital tools and collaborative opportunities aimed at creating memorable visitor experiences and driving economic growth throughout the community.
Through the project, businesses will receive:
– a new Meet Me in Minto destination brand;
– inclusion in the Explore Minto website and online business directory;
– experience development workshops and personalized coaching;
– digital marketing training and one-on-one digital advisor support;
– participation in themed experience trails and collaborative tourism packages; and
– marketing materials designed to promote Minto businesses and attractions.
The initiative aims to develop 12 to 15 unique visitor experiences that encourage people to explore Minto, spend more time in the community, and support local businesses.
Increased visitation can lead to more customers, stronger year-round revenues, improved online visibility, and opportunities for business growth and job creation.
“Meet Me in Minto is about helping local businesses, attractions and organizations work together to create experiences that attract visitors and keep them coming back,” said Minto director of economic and community development Belinda Wick-Graham.
“By participating, businesses will gain valuable skills, marketing support, and partnerships that can strengthen their long-term success.”
Businesses interested in learning more are encouraged to attend the Meet Me in Minto Kick-Off Presentation and Workshop on Oct. 8 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Palmerston Community Centre.
The session will be led by placemaking expert Leslie Fournier of Your Town Rising and will explore creative collaboration opportunities and connect local business owners and community champions who share a vision for growing Minto as a day-tripping destination.
