BURNS, Kim Passed away at home with family by her side on June 13th 2017. She leaves behind her loving husband and best friend Len. Kim’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to Allyssa Savage (Alex), Montana (Nick), Lexey and Logan and also took great pleasure to being Nan to Trace and Trent Savage. Kim was predeceased by her Mom Ann (2011) and Dad Jack Widmeyer (2012). Kim was a selfless woman, full of bravery and strength for others who needed it. Kim worked hard as a homemaker, making life as easy and normal for her family as possible. Even after her diagnoses of breast cancer 7 years ago, she fought a long, hard battle. She spent her summers up at the family cottage at Little Hawk Lake, riding her motorcycle in the spring and her snowmobile in the winter. Kim was often found in the stands of an arena, loudly cheering on her children as they participated in figure skating, hockey and lacrosse. Kim will be missed. Family and friends visited at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Thursday June 15, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. Donations may be made in Kim’s memory to The Canadian Cancer Society. www.grahamgiddyfh.com  519-843-3100
