Brown, Ross Gordon
Brown, Ross Gordon; (June 16, 1926 – June 25, 2012). Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home, R.R.#3 Grand Valley. He is survived by his loving wife Grace, cherished father of Jim (Deanna), Judy (Ken Wilson), Nancy (Bill Foulger), David, Ron (Carmin), Leila (Henry Psenicka), Janice (Randy Crane) and Mary Ellen (Stephen Erochko). Loving grandfather of Brett, Tim, Shelley, Matt, Robert, Cameron, Delaney, Geneva, Cole, Brent, Liam, Charlotte and seven great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by brother Wilfred, the Nixon, Matthews and extended Brown families and many neighbours and friends. Predeceased by parents Milton and Leila Brown, first wife Wilhelmine Treanor, sister Dorothy, brother Kenneth and grandson Mark. Ross farmed in East Luther for most of his life. He was a long time member of the Monticello United Church, Grand Valley Agricultural Society and the Grand Valley Lions Club. He served on council and as Reeve of East Luther and Warden of Dufferin County. Family and friends were received at Simes Funeral Home, Grand Valley on Wednesday, June 27 from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral service took place at Monticello United Church, Thursday at 11am with visitation one hour prior. Interment Grand Valley Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monticello United Church Memorial Fund, Sleeping Children Around the World or Friends of the Orphans.
