MINTO – Several Minto residents participated in the 46th annual Senior Broomball National Championships held in Belleville, March 26 to 30. Brothers Rick and John Lenselink played with the Minto-based Golden Boys in the provincial finals held March 15 to 17 in Fergus. The team finished out of the medals, but the brothers were picked up to play in the nationals with The Legends, an Ottawa-area team, which finished fourth in the Masters divisions. This is Rick’s fourth trip to the Nationals, as he has competed on three previous occasions in the Elite Men’s division. It was John’s first time at the Canada-wide competition.

Several other members of their family – children, nieces and nephews – also participated at the nationals with various teams.
