A head-on crash here last weekend left one man dead and sent two others to hospital.

On Oct. 21 at about 7:30am, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on the Halton-Erin Townline, near Acton.

Police say a Dodge minivan and Kia SUV collided head on and the driver of the Kia, Said Saleh, 37, of Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge, a 20-year-old man from Markdale, suffered “life-altering injuries” and remains in hospital in serious condition, police said in an Oct. 23 press release.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to call 1-888-310-1122.
